The position also develops, implements, andmanages recruitment and staffing initiatives. The position is responsible for ensuring all recruitment programs are incompliance with rules and regulations on EEO/AAP/ADA and all other programsdealing with protected groups. Overseesand leads new hire orientation. **MAJOR DUTIES** Coordinates, promotes and fosters the development of equal opportunity in employment within the university Performs tasks associated with implementing and managing compliance in all areas of equal opportunity within recruitment role Coordinates workshops related to recruitment and compliance in coordination with the Assistant Director and Director of Human Resources Develops employment policies and communication procedures, emphasizing equal opportunity compliance and initiatives in collaboration with the Assistant Director of HR and the Director of HR Assists management with effective recruitment solutions to AAP/EEO problems Maintains data and completes necessary reports and summaries of university progress in AAP/EEO recruitment and employment Performs related duties as assigned. **KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION** Knowledge of affirmative action and equal opportunity laws and regulations Knowledge of programs leading to success in recruitment and retention of protected groups. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS software Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Software Skill in dealing with sensitive and/or stressful situations in a professional and confidential manner Skill in dealing effectively with resistance, barriers and conflict Skill in facilitation and presentation **SUPERVISORYCONTROLS** The supervisor assigns work in terms of generalinstructions requiring the use of judgment. The supervisor reviews completedwork for compliance with established procedures. **GUIDELINES** Guidelines include department and university policies andprocedures, Federal, state rules and regulations, Higher Education Regents andRUSO governing body policies. These guidelines are generally clear andspecific, but may require some interpretation in application. **COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK** The work consists of related administrative duties. The constant changing of rules and regulations and the wide variety of agencies generating the guidelines contribute to the complexity of the position. The purpose of this position is to ensure the university complies with rules and regulations on EEO/AAP/ADA and all other programs dealing with protected groups.Success in this position results in greater recruitment and retention of employees and understanding of recruitment and hiring practices.In addition, this position indicates the intent of university to be nondiscriminatory in employment practices and minimizes the University’s risk for punitive damages and outside investigation of practices for non-compliance within the recruitment function. **CONTACTS** Contacts are typically with co-workers, other college personnel, recruiters, potential employees, hiring managers, program leadership, and community programs. Contacts are typically to recruit and retain qualified employees and to support the employment of disadvantaged groups. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT** The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or while intermittently mobile to include sitting, standing, reaching, bending, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects (minimum of 10 pounds). Fine hand coordination, ability to read and write, the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions. Ability to remain calm under pressure. The work is typically performed in an office. **SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENTRESPONSIBILITY** Thisposition has no direct supervisory responsibility. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of a baccalaureate degree in Human Resources, Higher Education Administration or other relevant discipline. **Higher Education recruiting experience a plus** Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years of experience or service, including one year of professional level Human Resources or EEO/Affirmative Action experience and one-year experience in ADA compliance. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Must be able to meet deadlines under stressful conditions and handle multiple task simultaneously Have a willingness to work fluctuating and flexible hours to include evenings and weekends where necessary. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** Prefer two years of recruiting experience Annual salary $34,356.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
