  • Workday experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles within the manufacturing plant.
  • Partner with HR Manager to understand staffing needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain a proactive pipeline of candidates for high-volume hourly positions.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates for role requirements and culture fit.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires and ensure policy compliance.

  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to forecast workforce needs and retention strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on recruitment metrics to leadership.
  • Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies and external partners.

Purpose

This full‑time position is responsible for managing recruitment and onboarding for all open roles at the Big Flats manufacturing site, with potential support for other locations or functions as needed. The Recruiter will ensure timely hiring of qualified talent, maintain a proactive candidate pipeline for hourly manufacturing positions, and oversee the conversion of eligible temporary employees based on performance, attendance, and hours worked.

Key accountabilities and deliverables
  • Manage full‑cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles within the manufacturing plant.
  • Partner with HR Manager to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Maintain a proactive pipeline of candidates for high‑volume hourly positions.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company culture.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Track and manage temporary employees, ensuring timely conversion of eligible workers based on performance and attendance.
  • Utilise our internal applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage requisitions and candidate flow efficiently.
  • Ensuring all open roles have an appropriate Requisition and Authority to Recruit (ATR).
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with legal and company standards, including EEO and diversity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations ensuring all new hires are properly managing through the onboarding process for a smooth transition to employment and payroll.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations teams to forecast workforce needs and support retention strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on recruitment metrics and progress to leadership.
  • Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies to ensure timely and high‑quality placements.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with external agencies such as local colleges, tech schools, Dept of Labor.
  • Manage new hire check‑ins at 30‑60‑90 days.
Skills and experience required
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, or HR coordination (preferably in a manufacturing or high‑volume environment).
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proactive, positive, and team‑oriented mindset.
  • Workday Experience is a plus.
Qualifications required

  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to engage candidates and collaborate with hiring managers.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to addressing staff challenges and meeting deadlines.
  • On‑boarding Expertise: Knowledge of onboarding processes and documentation requirements.
  • Data & Reporting: Ability to track recruitment metrics and provide insights to leadership.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing setting with changing priorities.

Additional job details

Base starting salary ranges from $95k - $105k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes an annual incentive opportunity, awarded based on individual and company performance. A comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well‑being, and financial security.
