Job summary

Univar Solutions is hiring a CDL Driver and Operations Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for transportation and operations roles across US time zones. You will partner with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies and build high-quality pipelines.

You will assess candidates, negotiate offers, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience, leveraging ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter. This role is hybrid based in Downers Grove, IL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience for high-volume CDL driver and warehouse roles.
• Direct sourcing, candidate engagement, and talent pipelining.
• Ability to influence leaders and consult on hiring process.
• Experience evaluating talent and closing offers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

About The Role

The CDL Driver and Operations Recruiter will partner with hiring managers to attract top talent and deliver best-in-class candidate experience. This role supports hiring across all US time zones and reports to the Manager of Talent Acquisition.

What You'll Do

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for transportation and operations positions, from sourcing and candidate engagement through offer negotiation and close.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
• Build and maintain high-quality talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and market research.
• Assess candidates and provide recommendations based on skills, experience, and organizational fit.
• Consult leaders on talent market trends, compensation insights, and hiring best practices.
• Facilitate interviews, debriefs, and hiring decisions to ensure an efficient and effective recruitment process.
• Develop and negotiate competitive offers to secure top talent.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
• Leverage recruiting metrics and market data to drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience supporting high volume CDL driver and warehouse hiring.
• Strong expertise in direct sourcing, candidate engagement, and talent pipelining.
• Ability to influence and consult business leaders throughout the hiring process.
• Experience evaluating talent, developing offers, and successfully closing candidates.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and modern sourcing tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Where You'll Work

• This is a hybrid-based role that requires Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in office at our corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, IL.

Pay & Benefits

• The salary range is $75,000 - 85,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
• The specific salary offered to a candidate may be motivated by a variety of factors including the candidate’s meaningful experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
• Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and flexible time off.
