Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Recruiter to deliver recruiting success across the organization. The role will develop local and national sourcing plans, write and place ads, review resumes, screen applications, and coordinate interviews and assessments.

You will partner with leaders and HR to forecast staffing initiatives, track metrics, and ensure timely recruitment. The position emphasizes collaboration with managers and cross-functional HR teams.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Two years of Staffing/Recruitment experience preferred.
  • Experience in general HR functions is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-based project experience.
  • Flexible, able to prioritize daily responsibilities and work under time constraints.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of data mining and internet research.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit for all positions system wide.
  • Write and place advertisements, post positions on ARH's Intranet and Internet, review resumes, screen applications, coordinate search through employment agencies, conduct interviews, administer tests, and check references.
  • Partner with Leaders to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives.
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and candidate assessments are clear.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and Local HR to maximize recruiting effectiveness.
  • Track and report key staffing metrics.
  • Regular follow up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness.
  • Participate in all staffing related activities and cross-functional projects.
  • Develop and execute a personal time management plan.
  • Other HR related duties as assigned by the System Director Human Resources.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Overview

The Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring ARH is attracting the best possible talent.

Special Instructions

This position is responsible for Recruitment for Corporate Services and System Level positions.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit for all positions system wide.
  • Conduct recruitment activities including but not limited to: writing and placing of advertisements, posting positions on ARH's Intranet and Internet, reviewing resumes, screening applications over the phone, coordinating search through employment agencies, coordinating and conducting interviews, adminstering tests to applicants, and checking references.
  • Partner with Leaders to forrecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives.
  • Work with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and Local HR to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process.
  • Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity and effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
  • Regular follow up with respective hiring managers and candidates ensure timeliness of recruitment process.
  • Actively participate in all staffing related activities and engage in cross functional projects.
  • Develop and execute a personal time management plan.
  • Other HR related duties as assigned by the System Director Human Resources, Strategic Initiatives and or designee.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Two (2) year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Two (2) years if Staffing/Recruitment experience preferred.
  • Experience in general HR functions is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, and team based project experience.
  • Maintains the ability to be flexible, and prioritizes daily responsibilities. Ability to multi-talk and work under pressure with time contraints.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and in dept knowledge of data mining and internet research.
