Job summary

Starcloud is seeking a Founding Recruiter to build and lead the company’s recruiting function from the ground up, partnering with founders and leaders to hire in aerospace, hardware, and cloud infrastructure domains.

You will own full-cycle recruiting for priority roles, develop sourcing strategies, and shape hiring processes and metrics in a fast-moving, on-site environment. Equity opportunities and high-impact growth await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including ownership of technical hiring in startup or high-talent-density environments.
• Experience building or significantly shaping recruiting processes, tools, and hiring operations in an early-stage or scaling company.
• Track record of partnering effectively with senior leaders and hiring managers to define roles, calibrate talent, and close competitive candidates.
• Strong sourcing ability for hard-to-fill technical roles, with a proactive and research-driven approach to building pipelines.
• Excellent communication, candidate management, and stakeholder management skills, with sound judgment and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across priority hires, from intake and sourcing through interview coordination, offer negotiation, and close.
• Build Starcloud’s recruiting function from the ground up, including process design, tooling recommendations, interview workflows, and hiring documentation.
• Partner with founders and functional leaders to translate business goals into hiring plans and clear, realistic candidate profiles.
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract exceptional talent from aerospace, advanced hardware, cloud infrastructure, and other adjacent industries.
• Drive a high-quality candidate experience that reflects Starcloud’s mission, technical rigor, and high standards while moving efficiently through the funnel.
• Establish structured recruiting metrics and funnel reporting to help leadership understand pipeline health, hiring velocity, and areas for improvement.
• Help train interviewers and hiring managers on consistent, inclusive, and effective interviewing practices.
• Contribute to employer brand efforts by articulating what makes Starcloud a compelling place to build for the future of AI and space

About This Role

This is a rare chance to build the recruiting function at a company working on one of the most ambitious engineering problems of this generation: creating data centers in space. As Starcloud’s Founding Recruiter, you will help shape the team building orbital compute infrastructure for AI, storage, and sovereign cloud services. In a company of this stage and ambition, every hire matters, and your work will directly influence how quickly and effectively Starcloud can turn a category-defining vision into reality.

You will partner closely with founders and technical leaders to identify, attract, and close exceptional talent across hardware, aerospace, embedded systems, power, thermal, GNC, cloud infrastructure, and other critical functions. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who wants to build processes from the ground up, drive full-cycle recruiting, and serve as a strategic partner on talent. If you are energized by working on-site with a small, deeply technical team and helping build the foundation of a frontier company, this role offers outsized impact and growth.

Requirements

Must-haves

• Experience building or significantly shaping recruiting processes, tools, and hiring operations in an early-stage or scaling company
• Track record of partnering effectively with senior leaders and hiring managers to define roles, calibrate talent, and close competitive candidates
• Strong sourcing ability for hard-to-fill technical roles, with a proactive and research-driven approach to building pipelines
• Excellent communication, candidate management, and stakeholder management skills, with sound judgment and high attention to detail
• Ability to operate independently on-site in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and recruiting needs are business-critical

Nice-to-haves

• Experience hiring for aerospace, satellite systems, embedded software, power electronics, thermal systems, cloud infrastructure, or AI compute roles
• Experience as a first or founding recruiter and comfort building employer brand, interview processes, and talent reporting from scratch
