Job summary

TECHEAD is a Virginia-based government contracting staffing firm seeking a Talent Acquisition professional to source, screen, and interview candidates for technical and cleared roles. You will manage ATS postings, coordinate interviews, and ensure timely communication across hiring teams, while handling onboarding and documentation with strict confidentiality.

The role is onsite with potential for hybrid flexibility over time, supporting DoD/defense-related contracts and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, IT, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ATS.
• Ability to work 100% onsite (with potential for hybrid over time).

Responsibilities

• Source, review resumes, screen, and interview candidates for technical, professional, and cleared mission-support positions supporting government contracts and proposal efforts.
• Create and update job postings in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), schedule candidate interviews, and ensure timely communication across hiring teams.
• Candidate Evaluation & Compliance: Review candidate qualifications, certifications, and security clearances.
• Prepare and manage candidate documentation, including Letters of Intent (LOIs) and contingency hiring agreements.
• Sourcing & Pipeline Building: Proactively source talent through job boards, networking platforms, referrals, and specialized recruiting channels.
• HR & Employee Lifecycle Support: Assist with new-hire onboarding, offboarding, personnel record management, general HR administration, and employee communications while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Proposal & Business Development Support: Partner with business units to align workforce planning with active contract needs and upcoming proposal bids.

• Systems & Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Ability to work 100% onsite (with potential for hybrid flexibility over time).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure or experience recruiting for cleared roles within government contracting (DoD / defense industry).
• Familiarity with contingency hiring practices, proposal sourcing, and Letters of Intent (LOIs).
• Interest in pursuing a long-term career in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Defense Contracting.
