Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehab in Grapevine, TX is seeking a PRN Recreational Therapist to join our Day Neuro clinic team. You will provide recreational therapy services to patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and community reintegration.

Responsibilities include delivering up to six hours of therapy per day, Monday through Friday, with weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field.
• Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• Must be available for weekend shifts; flexibility to pick up weekday shifts is a plus.

Recreational Therapist PRN - Day Neuro

PRN Rate: $27/hr

We are seeking a PRN Recreational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Baylor Grapevine Day Neuro Clinic. This program is dedicated to helping patients achieve their highest level of independence and successfully reintegrate into the community following acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.

Our patient population often presents with multidisciplinary comorbidities, including aphasia, cognitive-communication impairments, motor speech disorders, and dysphagia. Many patients also have impaired mobility, gait, balance, and coordination deficits, as well as weakness, decreased endurance, spasticity, abnormal tone, postural instability, and other neuromuscular impairments.

Patients participate in comprehensive, team-based care, receiving up to six hours of therapy per day, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

Experience with TBI, SCI/multi-trauma, and CVA preferred

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Creative, innovative, and adaptable approach to patient care

Schedule:

PRN Monday - Friday

Typical hours between 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

We are looking for consistent coverage several days a week
