Job summary

Caliber Therapies is seeking a passionate Recreational Therapist to deliver client-centered services in homes and communities, building meaningful therapeutic relationships and individualized interventions that promote independence and community participation.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, compassionate, adaptable, and enthusiastic about creative problem-solving to help clients overcome barriers and achieve their goals. Flexible scheduling and on-site work in Duluth, GA are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited program.
• CTRS credential through NCTRC.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain before service.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience with individuals with IDD, TBI, SCI, behavioral health, veterans or similar populations preferred.
• Experience with behavioral support strategies and community-based interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one Recreational Therapy services in clients' homes, community settings, and via telehealth when appropriate.
• Design and facilitate evidence-based interventions addressing physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and leisure functioning.
• Promote community integration, independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful participation in leisure and daily life.
• Adapt interventions to clients' strengths, interests, abilities, and goals.
• Collaborate with caregivers, case managers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation per company policies and payer requirements.
• Maintain professional, ethical, and clinical standards while representing Caliber Therapies in the community.
