Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic recreation programs for residents. Under supervision, you will help coordinate activities, assist with outings, and promote engagement according to each resident's care plan.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Requires ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, and staff.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to perform tasks and lead groups.

Responsibilities

Implements activity programming as planned to meet residents' needs and interests.
Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
Maintains rapport with family members and encourages family involvement in programs.
Provides input to assessment and evaluation of resident participation.
Communicates residents' concerns to supervisor.
Supports residents' individual needs and routines.
All other duties as assigned.
