Job summary

InterContinental Grenada is seeking a Leisure Services Manager to develop and promote recreation programs that enhance guest wellness and drive hotel profitability. You will lead the Leisure Services department, schedule staff, and ensure high service standards in a luxury resort setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Resort Recreation or Hotel Management and 2 years’ related experience; fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Resort Recreation or Hotel Management required.
• 2 years Resort Recreation, Health and Fitness or Spa experience preferred.
• Applicable certifications may be required.
• Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day activities Leisure Services Department including Guest Recreation and Health Spa and/or Fitness Center. Schedule employees and assign work to ensure proper coverage.
• Monitor performance and initiate staffing actions per company rules; alert GM of serious issues.
• Ensure staff are trained and equipped to perform duties effectively.
• Develop, implement and evaluate daily programs for all ages and special events.
• Maintain Leisure Services equipment and facilities; coordinate repairs with Engineering as needed.
• Establish procedures to ensure inventory security, cash handling, and supplies replenishment.
• Aim to achieve budgeted revenues, control labor costs and maximize profitability; assist in annual budgeting.
• Ensure guest safety and compliance with security regulations; handle guest complaints and service recovery.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments; liaise with guests, regulators, and professional contacts.
