Job summary

ArchCare in Sparkill, NY is seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapist to join the PACE interdisciplinary team. You will provide comprehensive assessment, recreation therapy, socialization, and coordinate 24-hour care for participants.

You will plan and conduct individual and group programs to help participants achieve independence and social engagement, working closely with staff to tailor activities for elderly participants; bilingual candidates are highly desired.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience coordinating services for elderly populations in the last 5 years, including 1 year full-time in a patient activities program.
• Bilingual candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, recreation therapy and socialization for PACE participants.
• Plan, organize and conduct a program of individual and group recreation to promote independence and socialization.
