Parkwood Behavioral Health System is seeking a PRN Recreation Therapist to assess patients' leisure needs and run age-appropriate therapy groups. You will help establish behavioral goals in line with our care philosophy and treatment plan.

The role supports adults, adolescents, and children in a structured behavioral health setting, with opportunities for professional growth and exposure to a broad continuum of care. PRN schedule mirrors patient needs across shifts.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related human services field.
• One year psychiatric experience preferred.
• CTRS certification preferred.

Recreation Therapist

PRN (As Needed)

We are currently seeking a Recreation Therapist to work on a as needed basis (PRN). The Recreation Therapist assesses patient’s leisure and recreational development needs, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Recreation Therapy, or other human services field.

Experience:

One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

CTRS preferred.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of individual, group and family therapy theory and practice, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
