The New Hampshire Veterans Home, operated by the State of New Hampshire, seeks a Recreation Therapist I-II to implement and review recreational activities for residents in Tilton. The role supports physical well-being, leisure, and socialization through therapy programs.

Requirements include CTRS credentials and NH licensure, with opportunities for in-band advancement and a full-time 1st shift schedule; compensation ranges hourly and includes weekend/holiday differentials.

Formación

• Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• License/Certification: NCTRC CTRS and NH Recreational Therapist license.
• Other Requirements: None

Responsabilidades

• Advises staff of recreational activity needs of patients/clients/residents to meet program objectives.
• Explains integration of recreation activities with treatment strategies.
• Updates patient documentation to ensure records are current.
• Coordinates and implements recreational therapy programs as part of patient care.
• Supports supervision and training for staff as needed.
• Performs duties for both Recreation Therapist I and II positions.
