The State of Georgia is seeking a Recreation Supervisor for the Marietta Regional Youth Detention Center in Marietta, GA. This role involves leading recreational programs and workforce readiness activities under supervision, with a focus on instruction and client engagement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adapts instructional methods and materials to meet clients' varying needs, abilities, and interests.
• Assess students' education and adjustment needs through direct observation and testing.
• Conducts classes, workshops, and demonstrations to instruct in language skills, life skills, and workforce entry skills.
• Conducts recreational activities with the goals of teaching decision-making, improving physical fitness, offering leisure options and teaching social skills.
• Counsels and instructs clients in daily living and work routines.
• Estimates materials needed for inventory and specific areas, including cost.
• Instructs clients through lectures and demonstrations of methods and techniques.
• Plans and coordinates a comprehensive recreational program for facility population.
