Job summary

City of Beloit in Wisconsin’s Public Works Department invites applications for a Recreation Supervisor in the Parks and Recreation Division. You will develop, organize, plan, and implement recreation and athletic programs as well as oversee facilities that support these activities.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Parks and Recreation Administration or a related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in Parks and Recreation.
• Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment.
• Other combinations of training/experience that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

The City of Beloit has an exciting job opportunity in the Public Works Department as Recreation Supervisor in the Parks and Recreation Division. This position is responsible for developing, organizing, planning, and implementing recreation and athletic programs as well as the overall management of recreational facilities that support these programs, including but not limited to the Ice Arena, Municipal Pool, Rotary River Center, and concession operations at the Riverside Park Lagoon.

The duties described above are indicative of what a Recreation Supervisor might be asked to perform. Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 1. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• 2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Parks and Recreation Administration or a related field.
