Job summary

United States Space Force is seeking a Recreation Specialist to help plan, manage, and administer a year-round base youth and teen recreation program and facilities on a USAF installation.

You will assist in coordinating activities across five core program areas, support budget and financial tracking, and ensure facilities and equipment meet program needs while maximizing available resources.

RECREATION SPECIALIST (YOUTH ACTIVITIES)

• Hiring Agency: United States Space Force

Purpose of position: to assist in the planning, management, and administration of a comprehensive year-round base youth and teen recreation program and the facilities used in conducting the activities at an Air Force installation.

Key Responsibilities

Assists in the planning, direction, organization, and management of diverse, multi-faceted and comprehensive youth and teen programs which include the 5 core program areas of Character and leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skill's, The Arts and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.

Assist in the preparation of APF and NAF budget and analyzes and tracks financial statements, which include the expenditures required to conduct the youth and teen programs. Determines adequacy of facility and equipment. Plans and coordinates all aspects of recurring and non-recurring activities, special events and joint military and civilian community undertakings to make maximum use of facilities, services, and other resources.
