The City of Menlo Park seeks part-time Recreation Specialists to engage in hands-on youth programs, sports activities, and food preparation. Menlo Park is a General Law city operatingunder the Council-Manager form of government. The City Council appoints the City Manager and City Attorney, as well as members of a variety of advisory commissions and committees. The municipal government is organized into six operating departments, including Administrative Services, City Manager's Office, Community Development, Library and Community Services, Police, and Public Works. The City is comprised ofapproximately 300 employees.

We are now hiring Recreation Specialists to provide hands-on support fora wide variety of programs including youth programs, recreation and sports programs, food preparation, and senior center programs for approximately 10-20 hours per week. This is an exceptional job opportunity for enthusiastic and responsible applicants to join the City of Menlo Park team and gain valuable work experience with an outstanding local government. This hourly, at-will, part-time (non-benefited) position offers paid work experience, a flexible part-time schedule, and on-the-job training and support. Shifts are available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Salary
Recreation Specialist: $18.64 - $22.24per hour
These are non-benefited, temporary positions. A temporary employee may not work more than 1,000 hours per year and will receive sick leave in accordance with State law.
