An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated Recreation Specialist for Camp Achieve, a unique day camp tailored for children with autism. Camp Achieve is a day camp for children with autism spectrum disorder aged 6-12, offering innovative programming and therapeutic recreational activities to enhance social, behavioral, and academic skills. Recreation Specialists will develop, schedule, and coordinate activities.
Training will occur from May 22 to June 6, 2025, including certification in Professional Crisis Management. The camp runs from June 9 to July 15, 2024, with parent conferences on July 16 and final activities through July 18. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with university holidays observed.
Applicants must have current authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred experience includes working with children with disabilities in recreational settings.
