Job summary

Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation is seeking a Recreation Specialist to organize and supervise a variety of recreational activities at assigned locations. The role includes developing programs, supporting participants with disabilities, and promoting inclusion following established policies.

CPR/AED and first aid training are required, and some transport of participants in county vehicles may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in the recreation field working with various age groups and individuals with variable physical and mental abilities.
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above requirements.

(R957, R414, R413)**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Organizes and supervises recreational sports/activities at assigned locations.* Assists in developing, scheduling, and implementing recreational programs, which meet the needs and interests of various age groups and participants with variable physical capabilities.
