Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 4+ years in parks and recreation, including 2 years supervisory/managerial experience.
• Alternate: high school diploma with 6+ years in municipal parks and recreation, 3+ supervisory/managerial years (some college in parks desirable).
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training meeting knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work under the Director of Parks & Recreation or designee to manage budget and operations for Booker T. Washington Recreation Center, Splash Station, Senior Center, and Museum divisions.
• Provide administrative oversight, staff training, contract management, and program scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure proper use of recreation software, purchasing procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
