Job summary

Apple Valley is seeking a seasoned Recreation Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and oversee a broad spectrum of community programs.

You will supervise facilities such as parks, pools, fields, and centers, ensuring safety and quality. A four-year degree in recreation or related field and at least three years of recreation experience, including supervision, are required. Weekend/holiday work and a valid CA driver’s license may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, human services, physical education, or related field.
• Three years of recreation experience with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Municipal setting, aquatics, and working with children are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, administers, organizes, coordinates, and provides direction for several recreation programs.
• Supervises recreation facilities and programs, including athletic fields, pools, courts, centers, and parks.
• Provides highly complex professional assistance to the Director/Administrator and fosters cooperative relationships with public and private groups.
