Job summary

The City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department is hiring to coordinate recreation classes, afterschool programs and other community initiatives. The role includes front-desk duties, answering phones, greeting customers and maintaining a clean facility.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of customer service experience; recreation experience is preferred and a valid Class C Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months customer service experience required.
• Recreation experience or training preferred.
• Prior experience working with children beneficial.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver’s license and be at least 18 to be hired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement recreation classes, afterschool programs and other programs for children, teens, adults, and/or special needs or senior citizens.
• Answer telephones and greet customers.
• Keep the facility clean.
