The Town of Avon, Colorado, is seeking a Recreation Program Instructor I to assist with, instruct, and participate in age-appropriate activities at the Recreation Center's after-school, out-of-school and summer camp programs. This school-aged aide role may be seasonal or year-round part-time.
You will supervise and engage children, follow licensing policies, handle sign-in/out, maintain safety, and support program instructors to ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.

Position Overview:
The Town of Avon, Colorado, is accepting applications for a Recreation Program Instructor I
The Recreation Program Instructor I is responsible for responsible for assisting with, instructing, and participating in age-appropriate activities for the Recreation Center’s after-school, school’s out and/or summer camp programs. This position is a school-aged aide qualified position and can be summer camp seasonal or part-time year-round.

Program Instructor I position requires applicants to be at least 16 years of age, have a state issued ID and experience with school-age children (5-12 years old) is preferred but not required, training will be provided. Possession of a current CPR/AED/First Aid certificate is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and may be subject to random, unannounced drug and alcohol testing as outlined in the Town’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.The Town reserves the right to suspend or extend the posting deadline based on receipt of qualified candidates.
