Job summary

The Passaic County Parks and Recreation Department is looking for an Athletics & Wellness Program Leader responsible for planning, organizing, marketing, and evaluating sports, fitness, and wellness programs, tournaments, and special events. The position will work with vendors and community partners, coordinate program logistics, assist with other Parks & Recreation events, and help develop new programs based on community needs and recreation trends. A successful candidate will be organized, ambitious, energetic, and enthusiastic about providing quality programs and services to the Passaic County community.

Schedule:
Weekly flex schedule. Must be available to work events on evenings and weekends.

Requirements:

Education:Bachelor's Preferred. Bilingual Preferred.

Experience: Event planning experience; Basic knowledge of sports and athletic events; Basic knowledge of fitness and wellness fundamentals and emerging trends; Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office environment; Positive customer service experience; Team player willing to assist in other Recreation events.

License:NJ residency and possession of a NJ Driver’s License is required. County residency is preferred.
