Job summary

Four Seasons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Recreational Leader to design and run engaging activities for residents across diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be quick-thinking, organized, reliable, and compassionate, with the ability to multi-task and follow instructions. Weekend and some holidays/evenings are required to support residents’ needs and program continuity.

Qualifications

• SigmaCare documentation proficiency is required.
• Music background is a plus.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing setting with the elderly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run recreational programs meeting residents' interests, ages, and cultural backgrounds.
• Capture weekly activity participation and complete assessments (initial, quarterly, annual, significant changes, progress notes).
• Transport residents, motivate attendance, and engage in 1:1 or group activities to enhance morale.
• Manage a caseload of 1–2 floors and coordinate quarterly changes and annuals.
• Complete initial assessments and document significant changes as required.

We are looking to hire an inspiring leader to help grow our team!

A Recreational Leader should be a quick thinker, detailed-oriented, organized, reliable, kind, and personable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Running recreational programs that meet the interests & needs of all residents with different age groups & various ethnic & cultural backgrounds.
• Able to capture resident’s weekly activity participation as well as completing assessments which include initial, quarterly, annual, significant changes and progress notes.
• Able to transport residents, motivate to attend programs and bring a smile to our residents whether during a 1:1 in room program, seasonal and or specialty activities of the facility.
• Manage a caseload of 1-2 floors
• Keep up and manager quarterlies and significant changes, annuals & complete initial assessments on residents.
• And more as assigned to ensure the residents have top care!

Requirements:

• Sigma Care Documentation a must
• Music background and or playing of an instrument is a plus
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing environment with the elderly population.
• Must be organized and have the ability to follow instructions
• In addition, you should be compassionate, with strong organizational and planning skills & ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work weekends and some holidays along with evenings as needed.
