Job summary

PenMet Parks is seeking a Recreation Instructor to help organize, plan, and facilitate a variety of park activities across seasonal programs. You will create curricula, assist with scheduling, and ensure safe, engaging experiences for participants, while delivering high-quality customer service.

The role requires at least one year of relevant experience or education and a high school diploma, with First Aid and CPR certifications preferred. Flexibility for evenings/weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience or applicable education or training.
• High school education or comparable experience.
• First Aid Certification and CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement curriculum for specific classes, activities, and programs.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct recreation classes (arts, crafts, dance, music, drama, sports).
• Organize materials and equipment for classes and activities.
• Ensure participant safety and complete incident reports as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as liaison with PenMet Parks staff.
