Genesis is seeking an Activity Assistant in New Jersey to enrich the lives of patients and residents by planning and delivering engaging recreation activities. You will create programs that address physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs while collaborating with care teams.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to positively engage with residents, families, visitors, and staff. Weekend shifts are included and a comprehensive benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities meeting physical, creative, cognitive, social, spiritual, and other needs of patients/residents.
• Document attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
