Job summary

Parker Health Group, Inc. is seeking a Recreation Coordinator for Monroe Township, NJ. The role supports residents with activities that promote physical, mental and spiritual well-being in a warm, homelike setting.

Shifts run 8:00am-4:00pm with every other weekend. Responsibilities include providing tailored programs and helping residents enjoy the highest possible quality of life while contributing to a compassionate team culture.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred.
• ADC certification within 1 year.
• Minimum two years’ experience in long term care and/or dementia care preferred.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement may be required within six months of employment.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Recreation Coordinator - Monroe - Full time- $23.00 hourly rate- The areas highest quality nursing care residence providing a warm and compassionate homelike environment in a beautiful state‑of‑the‑art community - 8:00am-4:00pm, including every other weekend - The Recreation Coordinator will provide activities of a physical, mental and spiritual nature tailored to the individual abilities, needs and desires of those we serve in order to enable them to enjoy the highest quality of life.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

B.A. or B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation, Creative Arts Therapy or in related field preferred; be certified or eligible for certification as an Activity Director Certified - ADC within (1) one year.

Minimum two years’ experience in long term care and/or dementia care preferred.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement may be required within six months of employment.

As a pioneer in the field of aging service, our Monroe Township residence is the result of decades of research and over a century of experience. Parker at Monroe provides nursing and memory care services to individuals with all stages of dementias, who may also have complex physical needs. The campus consists of six “small homes”; sixteen elders with similar needs reside in each small home.
