Job summary

The City of Tiffin is seeking friendly, dependable Recreation Center Attendant II staff to serve as on‑duty facility lead at the Tiffin Recreation Center. This part‑time role emphasizes customer service, memberships, registrations, and safe, welcoming operations.

Responsibilities include greeting patrons, processing memberships, guiding part‑time staff, monitoring safety, and assisting with events. A HS diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service or supervisory experience are preferred,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service, recreation, retail, hospitality, facility operations, or similar is preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons in a professional and courteous manner.
• Process memberships, renewals, and guest passes; verify memberships.
• Utilize recreation management software and point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain accurate membership and registration records.
• Assist with facility reservations and room rental inquiries.
• Monitor facility activity to ensure safety and a welcoming environment.
• Complete opening/closing procedures and shift reports.
• Provide day-to-day direction to staff during shifts.
• Support special events, programs, and rentals as assigned.
• Handle cash transactions and balance drawers; report discrepancies.
• Maintain front desk area and monitor facility appearance.
• Address routine patron concerns and escalate as needed.
