Job summary

Acacia Network is seeking a Recreation Worker to plan, organize, and lead activities that support physical, mental, and social well-being. You will identify employment opportunities for clients and coordinate resources to create a safe, engaging environment.

The role requires coordinating with case managers and other staff, providing resume and interview coaching, and delivering job-search workshops while working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in job placement.
• Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal schedules and align activities with organizational goals.
• Organize and oversee special events and group outings.
• Collaborate with other departments or external organizations to enhance program offerings.
• Adapt activities to accommodate varying skill levels, ages, and abilities.
• Maintain attendance records, program evaluations, and participant feedback.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on program outcomes and resource utilization.
• Ensure safety guidelines and policies are followed during activities.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by program schedules.
• Provide individual and group services to adults to aid educational and career goals.
• Provide coaching on resume writing, interview prep, and workplace communication.
• Conduct job-search workshops and time-management sessions.
