Fort Sill Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation is seeking a Swim Instructor to develop and deliver progressive swimming programs for students from infants to adults at Fort Sill Aquatics. You will collaborate with lifeguards to maintain safety during lessons and ensure high-quality instruction across levels.

The role requires teaching, safety instruction, and the ability to adapt to different ages and skill levels, with opportunities to advance within the aquatics team.

Qualifications

  • Water Safety Instructor Certification is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • First Aid certification (American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or equivalent) is required.
  • Lifeguard Certification is highly desirable.

Duties
  • Develops swim program according to students' ability and promotes students to higher level of swimming according to their skills.
  • Teach students from age groups of infant through adults.
  • Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students, when appropriate to level of instruction.
  • Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times.

  • Water Safety Instructor Certification

  • Highly desirable possession of a Lifeguard Certification
