MissionCare at Bennington is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant (TRD preferred)

Summary:

The primary role of the Therapeutic Recreation Assistant is to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive entertainment as well as activities, trips and events for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Complete and follow activity calendars which should have a variety of activities scheduled.

• Participates, organizes, and implements daily social and therapeutic activities and events.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Therapeautic Recreation Director, preferred

Must have experience running and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.

Must be able to work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.

Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required
