Job summary

The iCare Health Network is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to implement therapeutic social and cognitive activities for residents. The role focuses on running and coordinating programs, events, and trips as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include following activity calendars, organizing daily social activities, and delivering engaging programs for seniors in a clinical setting. English proficiency is required and experience in therapeutic programming is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have experience running, developing/planning and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
• Ability to run, develop/plan and implement multiple events and programs and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required.

Hourly rate: $19.63/hr
