Job summary

Fresh River Healthcare in Hartford, CT seeks a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive activities, entertainment, trips and events for residents.

You will follow activity calendars and organize daily social and therapeutic activities, working with multiple disciplines in a diverse environment to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Must have experience running, developing/planning and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
• Must be able to run, develop/plan and implement multiple events and programs and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required. Spanish speaking is a plus.
