Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing all residence activities
  • Develop suggestions for improving and expanding the Activities Program
  • Maintain professional, warm, and caring relationships with residents and families
  • Arrange transportation and escorts for residents to outside and community activities
  • Maintain and expand Volunteer Programs
  • Assist residents with the residence store and maintaining supplies within budget
  • Assist residents to and from activities
  • Help prepare the monthly newsletter and weekly calendar
  • Attend ongoing training sessions and orientation
  • Drive residents in the van as needed
  • Perform tasks independently and handle dual responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Skills & Abilities: Ability to develop and implement activities, motivate residents, communicate effectively in English, perform physical tasks, and demonstrate computer literacy.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in recreational therapy or gerontology preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license with minimal violations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 15 lbs, and perform physical movements like bending, crouching, and walking.
