U.S. Army MWR Fort Polk Arts and Crafts is seeking a staff member to support the Fort Polk Arts and Crafts team. You will engage with military families, assist with craft activities, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment at the facility.

Role focuses on customer service, activity support, and event coordination to help the military community relax and enjoy crafts. Open to the public and located at Fort Polk, LA.

Summary

This position is located at: Arts and Crafts- Fort Polk, Louisiana.

U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S.

Clarification from the agency: United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties
  • In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May provide work guidance to other staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
