Job description

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Kadena Marina on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan.

Key Responsibilities

Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of Marina facilities. Assists customers by providing information and services offered. Policies and procedures for use of facilities and assisting with resale and rental operations. Takes reservations and accepts payment for services. Assists customers with resale merchandise. Determines customer needs, describes features and benefits of various makes/models of equipment, checks proper fit, etc.

Places special orders, rings up sales, and processes payments. Assists customers with rental equipment in accordance with established safety standards and regulations. Checks condition of equipment upon return. Completes required forms, and takes required action for repairs. Assists customers with equipment requiring servicing or repairs, conducts routine servicing or repairs, and completes maintenance records. Receives, verifies, and stocks resale merchandise.

Displays and replenishes merchandise on sales floor and notifies supervisor when stock needs to be re-ordered. Complies with cash accountability, inventory control and resource protection requirements. Plans, organizes, sets up and carries out recurring activities and assists with planning and carrying out special events. Monitors and maintains cleanliness around the facility and reports hazards or unsafe practices to supervisor. Takes steps to post or issue notices.

Prepare and secure facilities due to adverse weather conditions and assists with clean up. Performs other duties as assigned.
