Base pay range
$19.00/yr - $22.00/yr
Duties
- Performs Lifeguard duties, responsible for safeguarding the lives of persons using the swimming pool. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Ensures that safety rules are followed.
- Assists in maintaining pool and keeping the area clean and free from any hazards. Provides information to swimmers regarding safety rules and procedures.
- Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a physical, and childcare checks. All local background checks will be re-verified every 5 years.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
- Operation is 7 days a week: Monday - Friday 1000-1800, Saturday - Sunday 1000-1400.

Duties
Work experience related to the duties described above that included customer service, operation and maintenance of sports facilities and fitness equipment; and possess the following certificates:
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- First Aid Certification (Certificates issued by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable)

- IAW the Fort Hunter Liggett collective bargaining agreement, Night Shift Differential and Sunday Premium are not authorized for Pay band positions.
Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
- Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
