Job description

This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties
  • Cleans recreation equipment, supplies and facility area.
  • Prepares work order for maintenance which cannot be completed by self-help.
  • Polices interior and exterior areas of building and grounds and performs general housekeeping to make facilities/playing fields/pools/outdoor courts ready for use.
  • Prepares requirement lists for appropriated and nonappropriated supplies and equipment due to demand or need for replacement items.
Requirements
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment.
  • Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
  • Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and/or unique events.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
  • Performed work that demonstrates the ability to perform the following duties:
    • Securing the facility, AND
    • Issuing equipment to customers, AND
    • Collecting fees (ex: registration for trip, payment of rented equipment, etc.), AND
    • Monitoring inventory (ex: Supplies, equipment, etc.). AND
  • Possess and have the ability to maintain a valid driver's license (MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION).
