Job summary

CareOne at Wayne Assisted Living in Wayne, NJ seeks a Recreation Assistant to enrich residents' lives through engaging programs. You will help plan, organize, and implement group and individual activities for the geriatric population.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and flexibility to work evenings and weekends; prior long-term care recreation or dementia activity experience is a plus. CareOne offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with evenings/weekends.
• Previous experience in Recreation/Activities in long-term care preferred.
• Previous experience with dementia activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement and assist with activity programs for residents.
• Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
