Job summary

The Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Stockton, CA is hiring a Recreation Assistant to lead, coordinate, and participate in activities for residents. This full-time role offers opportunities to plan and execute a diverse schedule, fostering social, cognitive and physical engagement for residents in a compassionate setting.

You will support assessment-driven programming, collaborate with care teams, and contribute to a positive, person-centered environment focused on resident well-being and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to plan and lead groups.
• Able to multitask and plan for individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead group and independent activities for the resident population.
• Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs.

If yes, then as a Recreation Assistant you will:

As aRecreation Assistant you will lead group and independent activities for the resident population. You will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to plan and lead groups
• Able to multi-task and plan for individual needs

Nice to have:

• Experience within a skilled nursing environment or working with elderly population
• Experience in Activity programming
• Experience with dementia care or Long-term care
