Job summary

Horsham Center for Jewish Life in the United States is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activities Aide to enrich residents' daily lives with engaging recreational, social, cognitive, and therapeutic activities.

You will plan and coordinate programs, lead group and one-on-one activities, set up spaces, document participation, and collaborate with staff to support individualized goals. A high school diploma is required, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in recreation, activities, healthcare, senior living, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordinating recreational and social activities for residents.
  • Lead and support group and one-on-one activities based on residents’ interests, needs, and abilities.
  • Encourage residents to participate in daily programs, events, and activities.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment.
  • Document resident participation and engagement as required.
  • Work closely with facility staff to support individualized therapeutic recreation goals.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents.
  • Assist with special events, outings, holiday celebrations, and other facility programs.

Horsham Center for Jewish Life is a 324-bed long-term care community dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents can enjoy meaningful, active, and fulfilling lives.

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activities Aide to join our team. This position plays an important role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by providing engaging recreational, social, cognitive, and therapeutic activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and coordinating recreational and social activities for residents.
  • Lead and support group and one-on-one activities based on residents’ interests, needs, and abilities.
  • Encourage residents to participate in daily programs, events, and activities.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain activity areas, supplies, and equipment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25–30 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to assist with setting up rooms, organizing supplies, and moving activity materials.
