Job summary

Kingsburg Center in Kingsburg, CA is seeking a Recreation Assistant to lead group and independent activities for our resident population. You will assist in planning, implementing and evaluating recreational, social, and spiritual programs in line with each resident’s assessment and care plan.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, can plan and lead groups, and multitask to meet individual needs. Experience in elder care or activity programming is a plus.

As a Recreation Assistant you will lead group and independent activities for the resident population. You will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to plan and lead groups
• Able to multi‑task and plan for individual needs

Nice to have:

• Experience within a skilled nursing environment or working with elderly population
• Experience in Activity programming
• Experience with dementia care or Long‑term care
