Bowling Green Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, VA is seeking a Recreation Assistant to engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities. You will plan, organize, and implement programs, and help transport and support residents throughout activities.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities and adapt activities to meet needs.

• Transport residents to activities and assist with setup/cleanup of spaces.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure holistic resident care.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care.

What You’ll Do

• Support and motivate residents to engage in social, physical, and cognitive activities and adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual residents.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of social and recreational activities and programs for residents.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of activities and resident participation.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed and assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces.
• Coordinate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
