Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Joliet Job Corps Center in Joliet, IL. We seek a Recreation staff member to monitor student activities and deliver engaging programs on and off-center, following policy and safety standards.

The role emphasizes planning, coordinating diverse recreation offerings, chaperoning events, and delivering positive customer service to students and staff. A high school diploma or equivalent with computer skills is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct students in center-sponsored recreation activities according to government and management directives.
• Assist in planning, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive recreation program to attract participation.
• Organize and supervise student participation in recreation and avocation activities and after-school programs.
• Conduct recreation and avocation classes and activities and chaperone events.
• Help develop new enrollee recreation activities and plans and support the center's diversity program.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and provide quality customer service to students, staff and center customers.
