Job summary

Anderson Cohen Weightlifting Center in Savannah, GA seeks a dedicated Recreation Aide to support daily operations, ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members.

You will oversee the front desk, check-in members, process fees with the POS system, use Xplor for scheduling and reporting, maintain equipment, assist with classes and events, create basic social media content, and perform related duties.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Recreation Aide to support daily operations at the Anderson Cohen Weightlifting Center. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all our members, assist with equipment maintenance, and support recreational classes and events while providing guidance on membership and sales.

• Oversee front desk operations.
• Check-in members, answer phone calls, and collect memberships fees.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions.
• Provide information about memberships, programs, and schedules.
• Use facility management software (Xplor) for scheduling, check-ins, and reporting.
• Maintain class attendance records, document facility use, and assist with basic data entry.
• Open and/or close the facility following established procedures.
• Monitor entire gym floor to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
• Regularly inspect and maintain equipment while ensuring all equipment is in working condition and sanitized.
• Create continuity of services and promote future growth.
• Set up and break down equipment for classes, events, or competitions.
• Assist in creating content (photos, videos, captions) for social media platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED, and
• Any equivalent combination of experience of training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with recreation activities or customer service.
• Interest in strength sports, Olympic lifting, or personal training.
• Photography/video editing experience.
• Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and highly dependable.
