Job summary

Charles River Center in Needham, MA seeks a part-time Family Support Children’s Program Recreation Aide to care for children during Kid’s Break, social groups, and school vacation programs. You will supervise and support participants, including those with special needs, and help with activities and daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with special needs populations is preferred but not required.
• Interest in working with children or adults with special needs is essential.
• Must be willing to attend job-related training at the Charles River Center in Needham.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision for children with and without special needs during integrated programs.
• Assist with toileting, diaper changes, clothing changes, personal hygiene, and feeding meals.
• Work with individuals on behavior management, personal development, social skills, communication, and physical development.
• Facilitate community integration by accompanying participants on outings and engaging in activities.
• Report issues to supervisors and complete incident reports as needed.
