Job summary

M2 Healthcare in New York is seeking a Recreation Aide to support residents through structured programs under the Recreation Director. Under general supervision, you will help assess needs, implement activities, and assist with plan of care to promote well-being and social engagement.

You will work in an on-site facility, following state regulations, communicating with residents and staff, and maintaining a safe, cheerful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in long-term care or health care institute preferred.
• Ability to operate recreation equipment and basic computer tasks.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out recreational programs in assigned areas and assess resident needs according to plan of care.
• Follow through on the plan of care and support therapeutic activities.
• Coordinate activities with nursing and other departments.
• Maintain safety and equipment in the recreation area.
