Job summary

Majestic Oaks nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a friendly Recreation Aide to support residents’ physical, mental, and social well-being through engaging activities.

You will design and implement activity programs, work one-on-one with residents including those with dementia, and help maintain supplies and documentation. Availability for every other weekend and holiday is required; daytime hours with some evenings and weekends may occur.

Qualifications

• Experience in long term care environment.
• Energetic and caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing a program of activities that meets residents' well-being and safety.
• Offers individualized attention, including to residents with dementia.
• Designs, plans and prepares various activity programs.
• Generates activity supply lists and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Maintains daily attendance sheets and documentation.
• Works as a positive, motivated team player.
