LifeSkills Connection Inc. is seeking a recreation aide to develop, conduct, and supervise a wide range of leisure activities for students. Shifts vary; evenings and weekends required to support program needs.
The role emphasizes planning, coordinating, and delivering diverse activities, maintaining records, safety, and youth engagement, while upholding the center's policies and values. Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, experience with youth, and proficiency with MS
Responsible for developing, conducting, and supervising/chaperoning a wide variety of leisure-time activities for all students. Shifts will vary, must be available evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of recreation activities, games, sports, arts, and crafts, etc.
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, and Excel
Minimum of one to two years related experience and/or training
One-year related experience working with youth and young adults
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Associate of Arts Degree preferred
Valid State Driver’s License, Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B CDL with passenger endorsements
Lifeguard Certificate Preferred

As a federal contractor, selected candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: Employment contingent upon passing background check and a pre-employment drug test. (This position is considered a safety sensitive position; therefore, the pre-employment drug test includes testing for marijuana). Positive test results will exclude an applicant from being hired.
All selected candidates after hire will receive CPR/First Aid Certification and Narcan Administration training within the first 90 days of employment. All employees are responsible for the safety of the students and may be required to provide provisional emergency services in the event of an emergency.
